How to Make Delicious Beef Yakhni Pulao

The ingredients that are needed to make the Tasty Yakhni Pulao are following.


  • Cloves, 9-10
  • Cinnamon stick, one
  • Black cardamom, one
  • Black pepper corns, ½ tsp
  • Fennel seeds, ½ tsp
  • Coriander seeds, ½ tbsp
  • Cumin seeds, ½ tbsp
  • Bay leaves, two
  • For Making Yakhni (Stock):
  • Beef mix Boti, ½ kg
  • Water, 1.5 liters
  • Ginger garlic paste, 1 & ½ tsp
  • Onion (sliced), one medium
  • Salt, ½ tbsp
  • Oil, ¼ cup
  • Onion (sliced), one medium
  • Ginger garlic paste, one tbsp
  • Turmeric powder, ½ tsp
  • Coriander seeds (roasted & crushed), ½ tsp
  • Cumin seeds roasted & crushed ½ tsp
  • Red chili (crushed), one tsp or to taste
  • Black pepper (crushed), ½ tsp
  • Whole spices powder, one tsp
  • Salt, one tsp or to taste
  • Yogurt (whisk), ½ cup
  • Green chilies, two
  • Mint leaves (chopped), ½ cup (optional)
  • Yakhni (Stock), three cups)
  • Rice, ½ kg (soaked for 30 minutes)

  1. For making Bouquet, catch a muslin cloth, add cloves, fennel seeds, cinnamon sticks, black cardamom, black pepper corns, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, bay leaves and wrap it to make a bouquet.
  2. To make Yakhni (stock), place a cooker on the stove, add beef mix Boti, chopped onion, water, ginger garlic paste, salt, a bouquet of spices and heat it until boils, cover it and cook until meat is done for almost twenty minutes.
  3. Then, remove spices bouquet and discard it from the mixture.
  4. After that, remove meat and set it aside, cook beef stock until it reduces equal to almost three cups.
  5. In the next step, add oil in a pot and onion, fry until golden brown and serve, add ginger garlic paste and mix well.
  6. Now, add cooked meat, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, black pepper crushed, whole spices powder, salt and mix them well.
  7. After that, add yogurt into it and mix them well, cook on high heat until water is reduced and oil separates.
  8. Then, add mint leaves green chilies, beef stock and rice, mix well.
  9. In the final step, cook on high flame until water is reduced to a half cup, put the lid and steam cook for ten minutes.
